DUSONLAP 1.85-inch Bluetooth Smart Watch and Fitness Tracker: A Full Review

I usually wear a traditional mechanical watch, but I wanted something cheap to track my steps and heart rate while doing yard work without worrying about scratching a nice crystal. At fifteen bucks, the Dusonlap seemed almost suspiciously cheap. I wasn't expecting an Apple Watch competitor, and you shouldn't either, but it surprisingly holds its own for basic daily tracking. The 1.85-inch screen is surprisingly bright. I could actually read my text alerts while out in the midday sun, which is a struggle I've had with older, more expensive fitness bands.

Setting it up through the GloryFit app took a few minutes. It syncs notifications and handles Bluetooth calls well enough. The built-in speaker is tinny, so I wouldn't use it for a long catch-up with a friend, but it works fine if you just need to quickly answer a call while your hands are covered in dirt. If you are specifically hunting for a smart watch for men under 100, this easily slides into the budget category while offering features usually reserved for the higher price tiers.

The sleep tracking feels a bit generous, often logging me as asleep when I'm just watching TV in bed. But as a basic wearable for step counting, checking the weather, and vibrating when my phone rings in the other room, it does exactly what I need. It's a plastic, lightweight activity tracker that costs less than a decent lunch, making it easy to forgive its minor sensor inaccuracies.
