I lose headphones constantly at the gym, so I stopped buying premium brands a long time ago. My search for cheap wireless earbuds usually leads to a graveyard of terrible audio and batteries that die mid-run. The kurdene sport earbuds caught my eye mostly because of the earhook design, which is a necessity if you sweat heavily or move around a lot during workouts. At under fifteen bucks, my expectations were on the floor, but they actually hold their own where it counts. The 16.1mm drivers push out a surprising amount of bass. It is not audiophile quality—the mids can sound a bit muddy on rock tracks—but for gym playlists and podcasts, these budget earphones sound completely fine. The real draw here is the battery life. You get about 12 hours on a single charge, and the case holds almost two full extra days of juice. I charge the case maybe once every two weeks. The silicone hooks are soft and keep the buds anchored to my ears without pinching, though they do look a little bulky compared to standard in-ear models. The touch controls are fairly responsive, but I accidentally pause my music sometimes when adjusting the fit. If you need a disposable-priced pair of workout headphones that will not fall out on a treadmill, these do exactly what they need to do.
