On a treadmill, the first thing I noticed was that these GNMN earbuds stayed put instead of slowly working loose every few minutes. The earhooks do most of the heavy lifting, so they feel more secure than small stem-style buds during running, lifting, or sweaty walks. That said, if you searched for wireless earbuds that don't go in ear, this is the important catch: these are not open-ear headphones. They still use silicone tips that sit in the ear canal, just with hooks that spread out the fit pressure and make them feel more stable.
The battery setup is the main reason I would consider them over a lot of cheaper sport earbuds. Eight hours per charge is plenty for normal use, and the case display is actually useful instead of guessing how much power is left. The 96-hour case claim means fewer midweek charging chores, though ANC use will cut into that.
Sound is bass-forward and energetic, which suits gym playlists better than podcasts or acoustic music. Active noise cancellation helps with fan noise, traffic hum, and gym background clatter, but it is not going to make the world vanish. Transparency mode is the feature I would use more often outdoors because it lets in enough surroundings to feel less sealed off.
At about eighty dollars, they make sense for someone who wants secure workout earbuds with long battery life. I would skip them if you truly hate anything inside your ears.
