Kinglucky Clip-On Open-Ear Bluetooth Earbuds for Small Ears: A Full Review

On a dog walk where I still need to hear bikes coming up behind me, in-ear buds feel like too much, so this Kinglucky clip-on style makes sense. They sit on the outside of the ear instead of sealing the canal, which is exactly what I want from wireless earbuds that don't go in ear.

The fit is the main reason to look at them. At about 4 grams each, they feel light, and the C-shaped clip plays nicer with glasses than many hook-style sport earbuds I have tried. They can still take a minute to position correctly, especially if one ear is shaped a little differently, but once they are on, they are easy to forget during a walk, chores, or a low-key workout.

Sound is better than I expected for open-ear buds at this price, with clear voices for podcasts and audiobooks and enough detail for casual music. Do not expect the bass or privacy of sealed earbuds, though. People nearby may hear a little at higher volume, and loud traffic can overpower them. Calls are usable, and the noise reduction helps, but wind still has a way of sneaking in.

Battery life is a strong point. Six hours per charge is realistic for normal listening, and the case stretches that out nicely. For $27.99, the 4.4-star average over a lot of reviews feels believable: these are not audiophile earbuds, but they are a comfortable, affordable answer if regular earbuds hurt, fall out, or make you feel too blocked off from the world.
