Halfway through treadmill intervals, I care less about hi-fi nuance than about earbuds staying put and not blasting gym TVs into my skull. The Powerbeats Pro 2 are built for that exact problem. The earhooks feel less sleek than stem-style buds, but they stay anchored during sweaty runs, jump rope, and lifting sets where smaller buds start to creep loose.
The ANC is useful, not magic. It knocks down the low roar of fans, treadmills, and clanking plates enough that I can keep volume lower, and Transparency mode is handy when I need to hear a coach or traffic. If someone asked me for the best wireless earbuds with ear hooks and noise cancelling for workouts, these would be near the top because the fit and controls feel made for movement, not couch listening.
Battery life is the other big win. The case is still on the chunky side, but up to 45 hours total means I am not babysitting the charger all week, and Qi charging is overdue but welcome. The heart-rate sensors are interesting for treadmill days or classes when I do not want a watch on, though I would not buy them only for that feature.
Sound is punchy in the usual Beats way, with enough bass to push a workout without turning everything muddy. At $219, though, they need to fit your routine. If you mostly sit at a desk, the earhooks and big case may feel like overkill.
