The sound is energetic rather than delicate. Bass has plenty of punch for running playlists, and podcasts come through clearly, though these are not the pair I would choose for flat, studio-style listening. The ANC is useful for knocking down treadmill hum, fans, and traffic drone, but it will not erase nearby voices the way high-end Sony or Bose buds can. Transparency mode is handy outdoors, especially if you run near cars or need to hear someone at the gym.
