Soundcore Q30 hybrid ANC over-ear Bluetooth headphones: A Full Review

On the train, the Q30s take the edge off the low rumble enough that I can listen to a podcast without cranking the volume. That is the main reason I keep coming back to them: the active noise cancellation is genuinely useful for commuting, flights, and office HVAC, even if it will not erase every voice nearby. For the money, they are one of the easiest picks for best under $100 noise cancelling headphones, mostly because Soundcore does the basics better than most cheap over-ear ANC sets.

The sound is big and bassy out of the box, which is fun for pop, hip-hop, and gym playlists, but I prefer using the app EQ to pull the low end back a little. Once adjusted, they are clear enough for daily listening and video calls, though not what I would buy for careful studio-style listening. Battery life is the other major win. I can go several workdays between charges, and the quick-charge feature has saved me before leaving the house.

Comfort is good for long sessions: soft pads, not too much clamp, and a folding design that fits in a bag. Multipoint Bluetooth is also handy when I am bouncing between a laptop and phone. The tradeoff is that the build feels mostly plastic, the microphones are only okay in noisy places, and wired listening disables ANC. Still, if someone asks me for the best under $100 noise cancelling headphones and they care more about value than brand prestige, these are usually on my shortlist.
