One thing worth saying upfront: if you searched for an air purifier and humidifier in one, this isn't that. It only filters air. There's no water tank, no mist, no humidity control at all, so if dry winter air is your actual problem, keep looking. As a straight purifier it covers a big room well and the three-layer filter (pre-filter, HEPA, carbon) does cut smoke and cooking smells, not just dust. The 1,000 sq ft claim is generous — it's rated for that in an hour, so in a smaller bedroom you get faster turnover. Filters run you real money over time, which is the ongoing cost people forget. For the price it's solid, though you're paying a bit of a brand premium versus some off-name units that do similar work. I'd buy it again for a bedroom or living room, just not as a two-in-one device.
