Logitech G G413 TKL SE Mechanical Gaming Keyboard: A Full Review

My desk feels noticeably less cramped with the numpad gone, especially when I’m low-sensitivity aiming and need more mouse room. The Logitech G413 TKL SE is the kind of keyboard I’d point to if someone asked for one of the best mechanical keyboards under 100 dollars but didn’t want something covered in RGB or questionable gamer styling. It keeps things simple: black brushed aluminum on top, white backlighting, PBT keycaps, and tactile mechanical switches that have a firm bump without feeling mushy.

I like it most for shooters and everyday typing because the tenkeyless layout keeps my hands centered, and the board does not slide around much. The keycaps are a big plus at this price; they feel more durable than the slick ABS caps you still see on a lot of budget gaming keyboards. The 6-key rollover and anti-ghosting are enough for normal gaming, and I never felt like inputs were being dropped in fast matches.

That said, it is a fairly stripped-down wired keyboard. You do not get hot-swappable switches, a detachable cable, media controls, or full RGB lighting. The tactile switches are satisfying, but they are not quiet, so I would not buy this for a shared office or late-night bedroom setup if noise is a concern. Still, for someone comparing the best mechanical keyboards under 100 dollars and wanting a sturdy compact board from a known brand, this one makes sense if you value build and key feel over extras.
