In-Depth Review

On my desk next to a plastic budget board, the Flow2 feels like a slab of laptop-grade metal with proper mechanical keys. The one-piece aluminum case is the first thing I noticed: it does not flex, slide around, or pick up fingerprints as badly as glossy boards. The low-profile linear switches are smooth and easy to type on, with a cushioned bottom-out that keeps the board from feeling harsh during long writing sessions.

That said, this is a strange fit if you came here searching for the best mechanical keyboards under 100 dollars. At nearly two hundred bucks, it is not a value pick; it is the board you consider after you have already decided you want a nicer wireless mechanical keyboard with aluminum build, VIA remapping, and a cleaner desk setup. The 100-key layout is practical if you still want arrows, function keys, and a numpad without going full-size, though it takes a little adjustment if you are used to standard spacing.

The backlighting is clearer than on many low-profile boards, and the three connection modes make it easy to move between a Mac, Windows laptop, and tablet. I also like that VIA support makes remapping less annoying. My main hesitation is simple: if your budget is truly under $100, skip it. If you want a premium-feeling low-profile board and can justify the jump, the Flow2 makes more sense.
