I live in a place where counter space is measured in inches, so dragging out a massive appliance just to heat up some frozen fries isn't happening. I actually stumbled across the Elite Gourmet EAF2612D while helping a friend search for a cheap air fryer uk side, but I bought this version for my own kitchen. At just over thirty-five bucks, I didn't expect much more than a glorified easy-bake oven.

Surprisingly, this little 2.1-quart cooker pulls its weight. The digital controls are basic but responsive, letting you adjust the temperature up to 392°F and set a 30-minute timer. It maxes out at 1000 watts, which means it takes a couple of minutes longer to crisp up chicken wings compared to massive 1500-watt models, but it still gets the job done without heating up the room. The non-stick basket holds enough food for one person—maybe two if you're just making a side dish. I usually toss in a handful of brussels sprouts or a couple of fish fillets, and they come out with that nice crispy edge you want from convection cooking.

The biggest tradeoff is strictly the size. If you try to cram in a double portion, the hot air can't circulate, and you end up with soggy food. You really have to respect the capacity limit. The exterior is entirely plastic, which feels a bit cheap, but it wipes down easily. It's not an heirloom appliance, but for a solo cook tired of preheating a conventional oven for a single chicken breast, it does exactly what it needs to do.
