Waking up with a stuffy nose in a dusty bedroom usually sends people straight to the expensive appliance aisle. I was looking for a cheap air purifier for home use that wouldn't take up half my floor space or cost a fortune in replacement filters. The FETIONS unit caught my eye purely because of the price tag—under forty bucks for an H14 HEPA filter is rare. Out of the box, it's pretty compact. The manufacturer claims this thing can handle up to 1200 square feet, but let's be realistic. Moving enough air across a space that large just isn't happening with a fan this small. However, if you stick this in a standard bedroom, dorm, or home office (around 150 to 300 square feet), it actually does a surprisingly good job at pulling dust, pet dander, and cooking smells out of the indoor air.

I like that it doubles as an aromatherapy diffuser, which is a nice touch if you want to mask lingering pet odors while it runs. The sleep mode is genuinely quiet at 24 decibels, so it won't keep you awake, and the three-stage timer is handy if you don't want it running all day while you are at work. Just keep in mind that at this price point, the plastic build feels a bit lightweight, and you'll need to stay on top of buying their specific replacement filters. Still, as a cheap air purifier for home offices or nurseries, it punches above its weight class for basic air quality improvements.
